Another Strand in the Web…

August 12, 2011

I hadn’t heard of the FOSIS, until now, but they’re on the radar screen now.

The Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) in the UK and Ireland has voiced its disappointment at the Irish Government’s refusal to grant Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi entry into the country. FOSIS spokesperson, Amandla Thomas Johnson said, “Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi is a distinguished scholar whose views are respected by Muslims from around the world.

“The opinions of Sheikh Qaradawi are often regarded as a voice of moderation, specifically his firm support of Muslim integration into Western societies. He has frequently and decisively condemned acts of violent extremism…”

Qaradawi is probably the pre-eminent figure in the ranks of the global Muslim Brotherhood.  If he is a “voice of moderation”, then the Muslim Brotherhood must be seen as a “moderate” Muslim organization.  If this is the case, it can only lead to the thinking that the destruction of Western Civilization, and the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate in North America, represents the moderate positionwithin current Islamic/Islamist scholarship.

That can’t be good (for us).
